Central Access Bleeding Control Stations
The first minutes are critical in life-threatening bleeding situations. Uncontrolled bleeding can cause death in as little as 2-5 minutes — often before first responders and emergency medical services arrive. You need the right equipment and you need to apply it fast.
Central Access Bleeding Control Stations (BCS) from Emergent Rescue Systems contain 12 Bleeding Control Kits
with proven life-saving equipment capable of application by immediate bystanders or trained emergency medical services personnel. Kits attach to the main station with hook and loop (Velcro), allowing rapid rip-away detachment for distribution to multiple casualties.
Because stressful situations can cause decreased performance even for trained professionals, every aspect of our BCS and kits is designed for simplicity and ease of use. Each BCS component is positioned in it’s likely order of use, so less muscle memory is needed to provide care. We also reduce required fine motor skills by enabling simple access to each station and kit. The medical red pull tab exposes all kits with one simple motion. Each clear vinyl kit allows the user to see the internal components, while the medical red zipper pull allows component access in low visibility.
Central Access Bleeding Control Stations (BCS) provide 12 wallet sized kits with SWAT-T multi-purpose trauma bandage used as a tourniquet or pressure bandage, hemostatic gauze pads, wound packer gauze, gloves, and medical adhesive tape.
